My dear students,
Willingly we all have opted to be a teacher. This is a noble profession and it needs lot of dedication and professionalism. It is a very special course as we mould or destroy the lives of future generations. Hence sky is the limit to one’s knowledge, skills and presentation, which will keep the learner ever attentive and chair bound. We all have an ideal before us whom we emulate, imitate in this righteous and honourable profession.
“Each person can trace contribution of some teacher who helped that person to transform into a good human being with positive self image, encouraging more self confidence, more commitment and motivation to pursue excellence.” This role of a teacher is universally acknowledged.
Each noble profession has to follow a set of code of conduct. As a Principal of Meenatai Thakare D. Ed. College I expect my students to form a good image to keep us proud and hence it is my earnest duty to give the few words of advice, which will sail you through successfully wherever you go. At the time of test you will have the courage of conviction.
1. The foremost important point is accountability comes out of being a duty-lover. One has to develop a sense of consciousness about a sense of duty.
2. Students should be loved from the core of our heart without carrying any grudge against anyone. Show him a path to improve but at the same time do not hesitate to make defaulter know his flaw.
3. Do not vile away the time in hand. Time and tide waits for none. Read voraciously. The knowledge you gain is the everlasting treasure you carry. Distribute it to all your students without being stingy.
4. Never to judge or predict anyone to be dull or weak. This is the lasting impression the student has on his mind. Please remember ordinary people can do extraordinary things, which even the high tide, or low ebb cannot.
5. Make yourself healthy, wealthy and worthy student of Meenatai Thakare D. Ed. College. Right action needs untiring patience. Be Patient Be Successful.
For the girl students I would like to say few words, “In the international survey it is found that women like to take over teaching as their profession because, it is respectable, convenient from the consideration of working hours, salary, working conditions and holidays we get. But it is equally surprising that they generally do not like their spouses to be from the secondary or below that educational teaching level. I think the social and financial stigmas are the reason. You two, i.e. you and your better half will become an ideal team in the educational arena. It is also seen that very few ladies work for their upheaval. Try to remove this blot, be in touch with the latest information at least in your own field. Keep your motherly instinct alive while a teacher. Help those who like to help themselves.
